The Opportunity
An exciting role is now available for a HR Advisor to join the Leviat HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager ANZ, you will be responsible for providing a range of high quality, accurate and timely human resources advice, administrative and support services. While the role is focused on business-as-usual activities, the incumbent will also be involved with change management and continuous improvement initiatives that support our people strategy.
This role supports 200+ staff across our sites in Australia and New Zealand. This role is primarily based at our head office in Mt Druitt with occasional travel to our other sites. Hybrid working arrangement is available after an initial induction period.
In this role you will:
Provide high quality, accurate and timely HR advice and support to managers and employees.
Deliver a range of HR administrative and support services including HR data and record management, prepare HR correspondence, meeting and event management to support the effective operation of the HR function.
Manage all aspects of recruitment.
Manage the employee life-cycle activities including but not limited to: onboarding, induction, development, performance management, remuneration and offboarding.
Support compliance to employment law.
Assist with investigations and resolution of escalated grievances and performance issues.
Provide advice and support to managers and employees when employee-related changes are required.
Maintain the job description library.
Assist in the delivery of training presentations, recommend training solutions and organise training bookings.
Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports.
Actively support DEI initiatives.
Drive Global HR activities and initiatives.
Act as back-up payroll.
Undertake HR projects as required.
Travel to Leviat sites as required to provide on-the-ground HR services.
About You
At least 2 years experience as a HR generalist, preferably in the manufacturing industry
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline
Knowledge of modern awards and key employment legislation
Demonstrated experience and skills in HR/ER advisory
Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices
Demonstrated ability to establish productive working relationships both internally and externally
Ability to work pragmatically and with a high level of independence within a complex and challenging industrial environment
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
