Position overview

The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking a qualified Senior Infrastructure Engineer to provide support of day-to-day platform operations.

The successful applicant will be a key member of the Service & Infrastructure Management/ Platforms Services section within the Data and Digital group.

In this role, you will be required to work in a team-based environment and will take a significant role as part of a team in providing support of day-to-day platform operations. This will require responsibility for installation, configuration, security, and operational support of ICT data centre platform services.

Occasional work in a controlled Data Centre environment may be required. This may include limited heavy lifting of equipment (in-line with WH&S policies and applied controls). The successful candidate will comply with all Bureau work, health and safety policies and procedures, and take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct.

The successful candidate will be able to prioritise competing requirements in consultation with the infrastructure team, leading to effective and efficient job performance with limited direction.
