Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation (KBHAC) is a survivor-led, Aboriginal community-controlled organisation. We were established to support the healing of Stolen Generations survivors and address the intergenerational trauma that continues to impact their families and communities.

About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Aboriginal Family Preservation Case Worker to join our team.
Key Duties will include:
- Deliver culturally appropriate case management services to Aboriginal families at risk of entering statutory OOHC.
- Support families through goal planning and family action plans.
- Facilitate safe and positive family time sessions.
- Assist clients to access community resources and supports.
- Advocate for clients’ needs within systems and community settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Maintain accurate case notes and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Ensure the Flowlogic database is up to date.
- Contribute to strong, culturally respectful relationships with KBHAC stakeholders.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who:
Essential
- Is of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander descent (Identified position under Section 14 of Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).
- Holds Cert IV in Community Services or related field or several years’ experience in case management.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal children, families and communities.
- Has experience developing and managing family action plans.
- Strong report writing and record-keeping skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain.
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Current National Police Check or willing to obtain.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
Desirable
- Experience using Flowlogic case management software.
