About the Role
We are looking for casual Disability Support Workers to work with our participants within the community and Supported Independent Living Homes. The successful applicants will work across a range of services.
We are seeking people who have a genuine desire to support people with disability who have varied support needs across different services. You will be providing opportunities for our participants to experience life and achieve goals through learning new skills and participating in social and recreational activities.
We have a wide range of shifts available across a seven-day roster, so shifts are flexible and so are we. Hours may vary depending on participant demand at individual sites and centres.
Key Responsibilities for a Disability Support Worker
You are a caring team member with a genuine interest for supporting people with disability to live a life on inclusion, opportunity, friendship, and fun.
You are positive and active in building a supportive and respectful community, with a sense of belonging for both staff and participants.
You are responsive to the needs and goals of our participants, delivering services in an innovative, flexible, and responsive way.
Minimum Requirements:
Availability to work at least three shifts per week
Drivers License
First Aid Certificate
National Police Check
Manual Handling Training
NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You
NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
Current NSW Working with Children Check
The Right to Work in Australia
COVID-19 Double Vaccination Certification
