The role

NWSIL Pty Ltd is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Broome, WA. We do have a cottage on site for rent.

In this contract role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs and behaviours within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program.

What you'll be doing

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Implement behaviour support strategies and positive behaviour plans to help clients manage their complex behaviours

Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote their independence and wellbeing

Collaborate with Allied Health professionals to ensure clients receive holistic and coordinated care

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements

Actively participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

What we're looking for

Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours, preferably in a SIL or similar setting

Strong understanding of positive behaviour support principles and strategies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or Disability

Current First Aid and CPR certification

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
