About the role

AURA Custom Projects' is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in our St Peters, SA office. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in the success of our construction projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates. Your work will directly support our business objectives and help us deliver exceptional value to our clients.

What you'll be doing

Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs

Analysing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify all necessary cost components

Collaborating with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information

Presenting cost estimates to clients and internal stakeholders, and negotiating contract terms

Continuously monitoring and updating cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle

Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all cost-related activities

What we're looking for

Estimating experience in the residential construction industry

Minimum 1-2 years of estimating experience in residential construction is required

Studying or successfully completed tertiary education relating directly to the building industry and estimating.

Certificate or Diploma level tertiary education relating to the building industry and estimating is required

Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, and equipment costs, as well as subcontractor pricing

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and other technical documents

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex calculations accurately

Familiarity with construction estimating software and tools

Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information to diverse stakeholders

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, reliable cost estimates

Must reside in Adelaide, South Australia.
