The Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in building and strengthening Medstar's client base. Key responsibilities include:

Driving business growth by identifying and securing new contracts with aged care facilities, hospitals, and community health providers

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with decision makers, procurement teams, and facility managers

Developing tailored proposals and rate cards that align with client needs and industry standards

Conducting market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitor activities

Representing Medstar Nursing Care at industry events, networking forums, and stakeholder meetings

Working closely with the leadership team to design and implement strategic growth initiatives

About You

We're looking for a results-driven professional with:

Proven experience in business development, account management, or sales, ideally within aged care, healthcare, or recruitment

A minimum of 5-7 years of business development experience is required for this position

Experience specifically within aged care, healthcare, or recruitment sectors is mandatory

Strong understanding of aged care workforce challenges and healthcare compliance requirements

Expert level understanding of aged care workforce challenges and compliance requirements is essential

Excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Ability to work autonomously and achieve set targets with a self-motivated approach

Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal preparation

Full Australian working rights and a current driver's licence
