Full Time | Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club | West Ryde, NSW

We’re looking for a hands-on and service-driven leader to join the team at The Fitness Edge as our next Assistant Centre Manager.

This is a key operational leadership role supporting the day-to-day running of both the Fitness Centre and Swim School—including rostering, safety, member service, and staff support. You’ll bring visible leadership to the gym floor and pool, support both teams operationally, and play a central role in service delivery and safety compliance.

You'll also act as Centre Manager in their absence and work closely with the Swim School Coordinator, exercise specialists, and group fitness teams to keep everything running smoothly.

🌟 What You’ll Be Doing

Leading daily operations across gym, group fitness, and Swim School

Providing hands-on guidance and mentoring to frontline staff

Responding to incidents, maintenance issues, and member enquiries

Supporting Swim School rostering, incident response, and service standards

Overseeing pool plant testing and compliance (training provided)

Logging, following up, and closing out safety/maintenance reports

Contributing to training, team culture, and continuous improvement

✔️ You’ll Need:

Certificate IV in Fitness + current First Aid (HLTAID011 or equivalent)

AusFit/FitRec Registration

Valid Working with Children Check

5+ years’ experience in the fitness industry

Proven ability to lead, coach and communicate effectively

Familiarity with gym operations, systems and compliance

Confidence working with pool plant systems (or willingness to learn)

💡 Desirable:

Experience in Swim School or aquatic operations

Knowledge of membership systems and reporting tools

Exposure to contractor management or SOP development
