Alongside our retail showroom, we are active in ecommerce, and we run the Hot Things BBQ School – teaching Perth locals how to grill, smoke, and cook with confidence. The Role

We’re seeking a reliable and motivated Shop & BBQ School Allrounder to join our team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that blends retail sales, deliveries, and admin assistance.

If you’re someone who enjoys variety in your day and likes to be involved in lots of different tasks, this role will be a great fit. There’s always something new to do, and plenty of room to make the role your own as the business continues to grow.

You’ll play an active role in retail sales, help with the movement and delivery of barbecues and heaters, support our BBQ School bookings and enquiries, contribute to our social media presence, and learn to draft quotes for outdoor kitchens

Key Responsibilities

Retail Sales & Customer Service

Welcome and assist customers in our Balcatta showroom.

Actively sell barbecues, heaters, and accessories.

Provide accurate product information (training provided).

Process sales, invoices, and payments.

Deliveries & Logistics

Safely load, unload, and deliver barbecues and heaters (Perth metro area).

Assist with in-store product assembly and preparation.

Provide a professional and friendly handover to customers.

BBQ School Administration

Handle class enquiries and bookings (phone, email, online).

Maintain booking records and assist with scheduling.

Liaise with customers about class details and availability.

Social Media Support

Assist with capturing content (photos/videos in store and at BBQ School).

Help schedule posts and engage with followers.

Support marketing campaigns with fresh content ideas.

About You

Current driver’s licence (required).

Physically capable of safely lifting and moving bulky items (required).

Positive, reliable, and customer-focused.

Confident communicator with a friendly approach.

Comfortable handling sales transactions and talking customers through options.

Sales experience is a bonus but not essential.

Organised and capable with admin tasks.

Comfortable with basic technology (POS systems, booking software, social media).

Everything can be taught – what matters most is the right attitude and willingness to learn.
