Position Summary
My Place is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager Clinical Governance.
In this full time role, you will be responsible for maintaining and embedding a comprehensive clinical governance framework, as well as educating our staff on their roles and responsibilities in supporting people with disability to meet their medical needs in a community setting. Your expertise will help enhance the safety, and quality of care we provide to our consumers living in their own homes and ensure compliance with the relevant standards.
About My Place
My Place is an established for-purpose provider of individualised and flexible supports for people with disabilities and their families. We empower around 400 individuals to live independently in their own homes or with their families, promoting their growth as valued and contributing members of the community. Importantly, we do not operate group homes, day centres, or other congregate care services.
We offer our organisational staff a 9-day fortnight, flexibility for family commitments, a phone and laptop, 5 weeks of annual leave, and 13 weeks of long service leave after 7 years, along with numerous health and wellbeing perks.
Selection Criteria
My Place will consider the following key selection criteria when filling Assistant Manager Clinical Governance role:
Essential
Strong alignment with My Place’s values and service charter (See: www.myplace.org.au).
Proven experience in maintaining and maturing clinical governance frameworks and implementing best practices in health care, particularly in community settings.
Demonstrated ability to educate and support staff in providing high-quality clinical support tailored to the individual needs of consumers.
Strong skills in monitoring, evaluating, and improving the effectiveness of clinical practices and procedures.
Robust understanding of NDIS practice standards, Quality and Safeguarding requirements, and incident and risk management.
Ability to communicate well with a diverse range of people, including people with complex communication needs
Desirable
Experience leading Clinical Supports team’s preparations for, and performance in, quality audits.
Qualifications and Clearances
Relevant qualifications and current registration with AHPRA.
NDIS Worker Screening Check (we can assist you in obtaining this prior to starting if you do not have one).
Completion of the following NDIS Worker Orientation Modules: 1. Quality, Safety & You; 2. Supporting Effective Communication; 3. Supporting Safe & Enjoyable Meals.
