We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Consultant for our Global Professional Services client. This role is focused on helping clients get the best out of their ERP system by aligning it with their finance and accounting needs.

Contract Role: 12 Months
Location: Melbourne or East Coast of Australia
Rate: $800-$1100 per day

The Role
You'll lead the finance workstream on D365 F&O projects — guiding design, configuration, testing, and training. You'll work closely with clients to understand how they run their finance processes and then tailor the system to fit. Alongside this, you'll manage and mentor a team of finance consultants and ensure projects are delivered smoothly.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Leading finance-related activities on D365 F&O projects

Working with clients to document finance processes and design system solutions

Configuring modules covering General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and reporting

Managing and coaching a small team of consultants

Collaborating with technical teams, project managers, and stakeholders

Supporting clients throughout implementation and go‑live

What we're looking for:

Finance/accounting background (degree or significant work experience)

Candidates without a degree must have a minimum of 10 years of finance/accounting work experience

Strong experience (5+ years) with ERP, especially Dynamics 365 F&O

Minimum of 5-6 years of Dynamics 365 F&O experience required

Solid understanding of finance processes (GL, AP, AR, reporting)

Prior teamwork or leadership experience

Demonstrated project leadership experience is required

Ability to work directly with clients in a professional, consultative way

Problem-solving ability and adaptability

Willingness to travel when needed

Excellent communication skills

Whilst this role is advertised for a Melbourne based person - we welcome applicants located across the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. This is a 12 Month contract with pathways to permanency for the right candidate.
