ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Project Manager, you will be overseeing the execution of councils civil infrastructure projects to ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure assets for the community, while managing budgets in alignment with the Council's operational plan. You will serve as a subject matter expert, offering project management and technical guidance on civil works and other initiatives.

DUTIES

• Prepare reports on project progress, issues, and changes for stakeholders
• Manage delivery of assigned projects from design completion stage to construction completion and handover to Asset partner/s
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to devise effective, high-quality solutions that align with project scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables.
• Provide detailed advice, analysis, and reports to Council stakeholders, offering recommendations on project briefs, major developments, and infrastructure projects.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Construction Management/Civil Engineering or a related field
• Strong understanding and experience with delivery of projects
• Familiarity with Project Management software like Asana, Trello, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
• Prior experience in the delivery of civil works including capital projects and programs
• Preferred experience within local government
