Are you ready to drive nation-shaping digital health initiatives that improve care and connectivity for Australians? We’re seeking an experienced EL1 Project Manager to lead critical standards and terminology projects in the digital health space for a Federal Government Department.

This is a contract role running until 30th June 2026, with strong potential to extend for a further 12 months.

Location: Brisbane or Sydney

This role is perfect for a skilled project manager who thrives in complex environments, can juggle multiple priorities, and knows how to bring stakeholders together to deliver results. You’ll work on projects that underpin national digital health standards, ensuring systems are interoperable, reliable, and secure for healthcare providers and consumers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver Allied Health Clinical Information Standards and Terminology uplift projects.
• Oversee development of minimum system requirements and manage roadmaps for allied health professions.
• Collaborate across government, industry, and health sectors to embed digital health standards.
• Provide expert advice and contribute to program strategy within a national digital health framework.
• Drive project outcomes under broad direction, exercising sound judgement and independence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience managing digital health or complex ICT projects in multi-vendor environments.
• Strong ability to build and track integrated project schedules, manage dependencies, and mitigate risk.
• Demonstrated knowledge of digital transformation, health interoperability, and standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – able to manage diverse relationships and navigate sensitivities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication – confident in drafting reports, briefs, and papers.
• Flexibility to pivot across multiple projects and shifting priorities.

Highly Regarded

• Expert knowledge of Digital Health Standards.
• Familiarity with SNOMED CT or other clinical terminology standards.

Eligibility

• Australian citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
• National Police Check required.
