A bit about the role

Lead meaningful change and drive inclusive outcomes for older residents in Casey.

As Team Leader, you’ll champion strategic partnerships, guide a high-performing team, and deliver innovative, community-led initiatives that support ageing well.

This role offers the opportunity to shape policy, strengthen sector capacity, and collaborate across Council and with external stakeholders to create a more connected and resilient community.

What you’ll deliver

  • Lead strategic partnerships across Council and with external stakeholders to support older people to age well.
  • Guide a high-performing team in delivering inclusive, responsive, and sustainable services aligned with sector reforms.
  • Drive community-led initiatives that strengthen internal and external capacity and address local needs.
  • Collaborate across departments to embed ageing well and accessibility priorities into planning, programs, and policy.

Identify service gaps through data and engagement, and co-design innovative solutions and secure funding opportunities.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in social science, community development, social policy, human services, or a related discipline.
  • Substantial experience in the aged, disability, or community services sector, with a strong understanding of barriers to ageing well.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across internal teams and external organisations.
  • Highly developed analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with experience in driving strategic initiatives and sector-wide outcomes.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work check.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
