The Opportunity
SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for a Diesel Fitter to join our highly professional and skilled Workshop and Field Service team. This is a Full-time role, FIFO 8 on / 6 off roster from Brisbane QLD to Orange NSW, DIDO and local opportunities also available. You’ll work closely with a team of experienced Fitters and Technicians, responsible for maintaining heavy machinery and plant on a Mining infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

Repair, servicing and maintenance of earthmoving plant, equipment, and light vehicles.

Implement and adhere to asset maintenance scheduling.

Travel between project sites and perform work in a field environment.

Carry out lockout and tag-out systems in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy.

Provide technical expertise to project teams and provide basic service training to plant operators where required.

Essential Skills and Attributes

Trade Qualification – Heavy Plant

Proven experience in servicing and repairing Heavy Plant, Mechanical and Electrical processes.

Clear understanding of excellence in customer service.

Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications.

Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
