Position Statement

Workshop trade wlabour including receiving repairables, strip down for quotation, sourcing parts, carrying out repairs, organising sub-contract services, and preparing for dispatch to ensure customer equipment is returned to service quickly and reliably.

Performance Objectives

1. Increase turnover of workshop projects

2. Streamline workshop operations via tidiness and efficiency

3. Adhere to job tagging and reporting procedures

4. Ability to source parts as required and liaise with customer as required

Roles & Responsibilities

DEPT 1 – Receiving/despatch of jobs

1. Ensure jobs are logged promptly and accurately

2. Ensure jobs are tested where possible and freight ready before dispatch

DEPT 2 – Strip and quote of jobs

1. Thoroughly strip down jobs for assessment

2. Forward assessments for quoting

3. Arrange parts and subcontractors as required

4. Use engineering knowledge to solve problems and rebuild rotating equipment

5. Use lathes/welders/other workshop equipment to assist in repairs

DEPT 3 – General Duties

1. Keep the workshop tidy

2. Adhere to safety rules

3. Assist others on larger jobs

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

1. Are all jobs completed properly, tested, and on time?

2. Is the workshop tidy and orderly?

3. Are all customers happy with our service?

4. Are all jobs correctly tagged and reported?

Qualification / Certificates / Licenses

1. Forklift

2. Mechanical Trade Certificate

3. Connect/Disconnect (desirable)

4. Trade qualification or a minimum of 2-3 years documented experience in mechanical pump fitting is acceptable

Essential Selection Criteria

1. Proven teamwork and adaptability

2. Experience in pump repairs

3. Driver's license

4. Australian work rights are required for this position

Ideal Selection Criteria

1. Strong focus on organisation and workshop housekeeping

2. Good people skills

3. Basic computer skills
