Jamberoo Abbey is a Benedictine community of women committed to a life of prayer for the world. The Abbey is situated in the beautiful rainforest of Jamberoo Mountain. Part of our ministry is to offer retreat space to those who would like a time of silence and prayer.

We have a part time housekeeping position available in our guest accommodation areas.

Duties and responsibilities:

Clean and supply designated areas

Perform various cleaning duties such as, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom cleaning, making beds, dusting, sweeping as directed

Track maintenance requirements and/or safety issues

Required skills:

Previous housekeeping experience

High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail

Ability to work both alone and in a team

A reasonable level of fitness

Able to manage time effectively

Discreet, reliable and trustworthy

Awareness of, and adherence to H&S procedures

Good communication skills

Good work ethic

Must have own car (no public transport)

All successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks including:

2 reference checks

Working with children check

Working rights in Australia (passport, birth certificate, etc)
