The Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator with Drafting expertise to join our growing team in Mandurah. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a respected WA construction company and work across diverse projects in the industrial, commercial, and mining sectors.

This unique role combines procurement coordination - sourcing construction materials, equipment, and services - with technical drafting support for construction projects. You’ll play a key role in our sheds construction sector, ensuring projects run smoothly, from supplier management to technical documentation.

What You’ll Do

Procurement:

Coordinate procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services

Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records

Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure timely supply

Build and maintain supplier relationships and approved vendor lists

Support contract administration and compliance with purchasing procedures

Drafting:

Prepare and update CAD drawings, shop drawings, and construction details

Revise plans to reflect project requirements and site conditions

Produce as-built documentation and support permit applications

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects on revisions

Maintain drawing libraries with accuracy, version control, and compliance

What You’ll Bring

Diploma in Drafting, Construction Technology, Building Design, or related field (highly regarded but not essential)

2+ years’ experience in purchasing coordination and/or drafting within construction

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software

Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers and WA market

Good understanding of drawings, specifications, and building methods

Familiarity with Australian Standards (AS) and National Construction Code (NCC)

Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills
