About the Role

As the Sales & Production Planning Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of sales orders, production schedules, and stock levels across the business. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely deliveries, accurate planning, and optimal supply chain coordination. This role requires a strong grasp of ERP systems, proactive communication skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Order Management

Process and manage retail and food service orders in the ERP system

Communicate with customers on order status, delivery timelines, and claims

Prepare sales documentation (invoices, packing lists, pallet labels)

Coordinate freight bookings and dispatch details

Production Planning

Develop and maintain weekly production schedules across product lines

Lead weekly planning meetings with internal teams

Adjust plans based on stock levels, production changes, and demand forecasts

Track production efficiency and maintain stock buffers

Long-Term Planning

Maintain 6–9 month rolling forecasts for demand, stock, and production

Update plans based on operational changes or new product launches

Align forecast data across internal systems and partner reports

ERP & Stock Management

Record finished product assemblies and raw material usage in ERP

Track batch numbers, wastage, and reconcile production data

Conduct weekly stock checks and resolve variances with relevant teams

Strong computer literacy (especially Excel and ERP systems)

Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills

Clear and professional verbal and written communication

Qualifications & Experience

Prior experience in operations or logistics within a food manufacturing environment (meat, dairy, seafood, or similar)

Relevant qualification in Business, Logistics, or Operations Management

Understanding of food hygiene standards
