About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dental Assistant to join our passionate and friendly team at the Cronulla Dental Centre in Cronulla, NSW 2230. As a valued member of our dental practice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. This is a casual position, for Thursdays only.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during examinations and treatments by preparing the work area, sterilising instruments, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment

Maintaining detailed patient records and updating electronic dental charts

Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and providing support throughout their dental procedures

Ensuring the dental clinic is kept clean, organised and well-stocked with necessary supplies

Handling incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries

Providing a friendly and welcoming environment for all our patients

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar healthcare role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients of all ages

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in using dental software and electronic patient management systems

A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience

A friendly, professional and team-oriented attitude
