Dental Assistant – Casual or Part-Time (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

Join our professional and friendly team at St Marys Dental & Periodontal Surgery, a modern practice offering both specialist and general dental care. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to provide high-quality chairside support and exceptional patient care two days per week.

Experience in general dentistry or periodontics will be highly regarded, along with a strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and infection control standards.

About the Role

This role is primarily focused on chairside dental assisting duties.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.

Position details:

Casual or Part-Time – 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Australian work rights required

Competitive pay rate $30–$38 per hour, based on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities

Assist clinicians in providing high-quality dental care

Maintain strict hygiene and infection control standards

Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment

Support reception when required – including managing payments, health funds, bookings, and phone calls

Work collaboratively within a team and help cover shifts when needed

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in chairside dental assisting

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

Sound knowledge of sterilisation and infection control procedures

Confidence working with minimal supervision

Proficiency in dental procedures and terminology (periodontal experience an advantage)

Knowledge of D4W software (desirable but not essential)
