About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maternal and Child Health (MCH) nurse to join our team as a Clinical Educator and Quality Improvement Nurse. This dynamic role is responsible for leading clinical education initiatives, supporting professional development, and driving quality improvement across our MCH services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs for MCH nurses.
  • Provide mentorship and support to new and existing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Lead quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Monitor clinical practice standards and support compliance with relevant guidelines and legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practice in MCH.
  • Contribute to policy development, audit processes, and service planning.

About You
You are a dedicated and knowledgeable MCH Nurse with a strong background in clinical education and quality improvement. You bring excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to families.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse and Midwife with current AHPRA registration.
  • Accredited Maternal and Child Health Nurse qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical education and/or quality improvement.
  • Strong understanding of MCH frameworks, policies, and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Postgraduate qualifications in education, public health, or quality improvement.
  • Experience in project management or service development.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an 'international criminal history check'), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
