Rogers Construction Group (RCG) is a privately owned Sydney-based commercial construction company delivering projects across NSW, with offices in Newcastle and Wollongong, and recently expanded into Melbourne.
We specialise in Education, Aged Care & Retirement Living, Social and Government Housing, Government, Industrial, Corporate, and Retail projects up to $20m. Our business is experiencing significant, controlled growth, built on strong client relationships and a reputation for delivering quality outcomes.
Our Minor Works Division focuses on projects in the $50K – $1M range, and we are now seeking an Estimator to join the team. This role will suit someone confident in running their own RFQs end-to-end, while ensuring all submissions are compliant, accurate, and aligned with our branding standards.
About the Role
As a Minor Works Estimator at RCG, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the end-to-end RFQ process.
Attending scheduled site inspections with clients and contractors.
Reviewing and preparing returnable schedules to meet compliance requirements.
Preparing methodologies and programs for certain tenders.
Breaking down trade packages, preparing subcontractor lists, and engaging with subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing.
Reviewing and analysing subcontractor and supplier pricing.
Raising RFIs and liaising with clients and consultants where required.
Managing multiple tenders at once while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Undertaking a detailed handover to our delivery team for successful projects.
Ensuring all tender documentation is consistent, compliant, and professionally presented in line with RCG’s branding guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an estimator who is not only technically strong but also takes pride in producing polished, client-ready submissions.
Key requirements:
Experience as an Estimator in commercial construction (Minor Works, fitout, or refurbishment experience highly regarded).
Strong knowledge of RFQ/tender processes and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
High level of accuracy, detail, and professional presentation.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proficiency in estimating software, MS Office, and Adobe Suite (InDesign).
