We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about Japanese and Asian cuisine, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring a seamless flow during busy service hours.

- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team atmosphere, reporting to the Venue Manager.

- Implement and maintain labour cost efficiency and staff scheduling.

- Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.

- Monitor food margins and manage inventory effectively.

- Develop, write, and design innovative menus that reflect the identity of the venue.

- Research and source high-quality local ingredients to create unique dishes.

Candidate Requirements

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within Japanese or Asian cuisine.

- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

- Strong understanding of team management, kitchen operations, and cost control.

- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.

- Availability to work across a roster, including weekends.

Additional Information

Due to the location of our establishment, it is essential that you have your own reliable transport.
We offer daytime hours on a rotating roster, 5 days per week including weekends.

A long-term employment offer of 12 months or more will be extended to the successful candidate.

Applicants already residing in Western Australia are preferred.
