Your new Role:

The Dental Assistant Policy and Practice Advisor provides expert leadership, high-level policy advice, and operational support to management and oral health staff within the Metro South Oral Health Service. This role ensures adherence to infection control standards, compliance with local, state, and national regulations, and drives continuous quality improvement initiatives. Collaborating with key stakeholders, the Advisor oversees workforce planning, training, and risk management to maintain a skilled, motivated dental assistant team. They act as an advocate for dental assistants, support resource and supply management, and contribute to strategic planning and organizational objectives, fostering safe, efficient, and client-focused oral health care delivery.

About You:

• Provide expert, high-level advice and guidance to management and oral health staff to ensure best practice in dental assistant roles across the service.
• Lead continuous quality improvement and change management initiatives to standardize practices and enhance client care outcomes.
• Exhibit ethical leadership and strong communication skills to support organizational goals and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Participate actively in audits, risk assessments, and workplace safety processes to uphold regulatory compliance and manage risks effectively.
• A Blue Card will be required.
