About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to provide efficient pharmacy services that is aligned to organisational goals and legislative standards and to contribute to patient care by undertaking advanced clinical support tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a pharmacist.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Support ward/team based pharmacists in their role by facilitating proactive medication dispensing, assessing patient medication needs and the provision of medication information and supply on discharge.
- Obtain patient-specific information on medication use and clinical information for pharmacist assessment.
- Coordinate the supply, maintenance and review of ward pharmaceutical imprest stock.
- Liaise with health care providers and community health providers such as community pharmacists, residential care facility staff and general practice, under the delegation of a pharmacist to obtain medication-related patient information for pharmacist review.
