About the role
In this role you will coordinate disaster recovery funding activities across Yarra Ranges Council, ensuring grant funding is used effectively and reporting requirements are met. You will connect Council teams with State and Federal recovery funding opportunities, support consistent data collection, and help reduce the financial impact of recovery through targeted analysis and advice.
Working across Council you will capture and analyse disaster impacts, monitor recovery progress, and provide recommendations for sustainable outcomes. The role also supports community resilience initiatives, develops frameworks for data collection, and helps coordinate recovery efforts during emergencies.
This is a Band 7 role with an hourly rate between $55.93 and $60.34 per hour, plus superannuation.
This is a part-time temporary position (grant funded role until 30 June 2026) (3 days per week).

Experience and skills we’re looking for
Experience coordinating grant funding, reporting, and acquittals, ideally in disaster recovery.
Ability to work across teams and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience developing and implementing processes for consistent record keeping and project planning.
Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly.
Experience supporting or leading projects in a government or community setting.
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
