The Role

We are seeking a VPS5 Communications Change Lead to join our State Government client on a contract until 31 December 2025. Sitting within the Communications and Customer Experience division, this role is responsible for leading and coordinating targeted communications to ensure communities and stakeholders can plan effectively around major disruptions to the transport network.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver communications and engagement plans for major disruption projects
• Partner with project teams, transport operators, and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging
• Provide high-quality, audience-focused communications across multiple channels
• Build and maintain strong relationships to support genuine engagement with communities
• Evaluate communication outcomes and apply lessons learned to future projects

About You

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, engagement, or a related field
• Proven experience in communications, engagement, or change-related roles, ideally in government or infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
• IAP2 accreditation or community engagement experience highly regarded
