About the role:
Reporting to the Head of ER & Safety, Legal Counsel, you will be the subject matter expert for employee relations across the group. Your role will see you:

• advising on complex ER matters including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, redundancies etc;
• representing the group in employment litigation, including appearing before courts / tribunals;
• supporting and coaching the business to identify/mitigate ER risks;
• reviewing, maintaining and developing systems of work;
• monitoring case law, legislation and trends to promote a proactive ER approach.

Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:

• at least 4 years’ PAE as an employment lawyer with an unrestricted practising certificate;
• strong knowledge of employment-related legislation and ER best practice;
• advocacy experience in courts and tribunals;
• a highly commercial approach; and
• the ability to work autonomously while partnering effectively with HR and business leaders.
