About the Role

As our Function Centre Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of creating exceptional moments during life's most important occasions. Working across our beautiful, peaceful venue, you'll coordinate weddings, celebrations, corporate events, and memorial services, ensuring every detail reflects our standards.

Your expertise will span customer relationships, event coordination, staff leadership, and operational excellence. You'll work with diverse customers during their most meaningful moments, transforming their visions into unforgettable realities while building lasting professional relationships across Tamworth's events industry.

What You'll Be Doing

Transform Customer Visions Into Reality

Connect with prospective customers through venue tours and detailed consultations

Craft comprehensive proposals and coordinate contract negotiations

Guide customers through every planning detail, from catering selections to décor coordination

Lead Event Excellence

Direct casual Food & Beverage teams during events, ensuring flawless service delivery

Coordinate event setup, execution, and breakdown with attention to every detail

Manage real-time problem solving while maintaining calm professionalism

Collaborate with kitchen staff, suppliers, and vendors to deliver seamless experiences

Coordinate Venue Operations

Oversee daily venue presentation and maintenance coordination

Manage inventory systems for equipment, and supplies

Coordinate with cleaning teams, contractors, and service providers

Ensure compliance with liquor licensing and food safety requirements

Build Industry Partnerships

Develop relationships with caterers, florists, photographers, and other event professionals

Coordinate vendor schedules and manage delivery logistics

Negotiate supplier arrangements that enhance customer experiences

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

Current RSA and Food Handling certificates (or willingness to obtain)

Minimum 2 years venue management, event coordination, or hospitality operations experience

Proven customer relationship management and staff leadership capabilities

Strong organisational skills with ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously

Intermediate administration experience working with MS Office Suite and/or Google Workspace, Bookings and Event Management platforms

Professional presentation suitable for customer-facing interactions

Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid work visa required

What We Offer You
