Business Advisor | $490/day + Super | 12-Month Contract | Hybrid

About the Role

We are currently partnering with the NSW Government, to recruit a Business Advisor for a 12-month contract. This is a key role within the Group Finance team, offering a mix of business advisory, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical support to drive informed financial decisions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a high-performing team and make a direct impact on water infrastructure and performance initiatives across NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain performance reporting and monthly forecast models for Water Group entities.
• Provide analytical insights to support business cases, budget planning, and financial decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets aligned with government and corporate objectives.
• Support financial system accuracy and reporting in SAP and Excel.
• Develop reports, briefs, and papers to support senior stakeholders across the Department.
• Collaborate across business units to understand requirements and deliver on financial reporting needs.
• Recommend and implement reporting/process enhancements for improved business outcomes.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets and financial models.
• Previous experience using SAP in a finance or reporting capacity.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and business advisory functions.
• Public sector experience highly regarded
