DFP are currently seeking to engage multiple APS6 Assessors to join a national team responsible for assessing new and renewal applications for the registration of aged care facilities, ensuring compliance with updated legislation and sector reforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and register entities seeking to deliver aged care services.
• Renew and vary existing provider registrations.
• Apply Agency-initiated registration conditions.
• Use case management systems to track, manage, and ensure consistency across assessments and documentation.
• Ensure registration applications are assessed within legislated timeframes.
• Engage with providers and coach junior staff.
• Work collegially with peers.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in alignment with the Agency's Regulatory Strategy
• Analyse complex information to identify risks, make informed assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant legal frameworks.
• Prepare comprehensive assessments, risk analyses, and documentation using case management systems, ensuring alignment with updated legislation and principles.
• Oversee and prioritise allocated workloads to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with external and internal stakeholders, other government departments, and the public.

About You

• Experience in compliance, regulation, or risk assessment (preferably in aged care or health sectors).
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.
• Australian Citizenship is required.
