About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to manage the operations of a diverse property portfolio on behalf of the NSW State Government department.
This position involves overseeing both Hard and Soft FM services across multiple CBD-based assets. It’s an excellent opportunity for a Facilities Manager who has worked across commercial, retail, or government portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preventative and reactive maintenance schedule to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Allocate and monitor work orders, ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs.
• Manage contractors throughout the lifecycle – onboarding, performance reviews, compliance checks, and timely submission of documentation and quotes.
• Support minor works and capital upgrade projects from planning through to delivery.
• Contribute to CAPEX and OPEX budget oversight, including reporting and cost management.
• Act as a key contact for internal teams and external providers on facilities and contract matters.
• Provide assistance with AFSS preparation and fire compliance in collaboration with Technical FM staff.

Requirements

• Solid background in facilities management across commercial, retail, or government environments.
• Strong contractor management and project coordination experience.
• Proven ability to manage budgets (CAPEX and OPEX) and support capital project delivery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive, and detail-focused.
