About the Position

We are currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to join the team on AFTERNOON shift.

As the Shift Supervisor, you are responsible for the safety and welfare of all people on your shift. You must strive to meet daily production targets and ensure all people on your shift are trained. You must continually monitor the quality and quantity of finished product.

Responsibilities

Support the production plan and ensuring daily production targets are met

Provide clear and concise communication with direct reports

Promote a sound working relationship between all supervisors, charge hands and operators involved in the organisation.

Understand the quality expectation of finished product and ensure this standard is understood and maintained.

Responsible for enforcing a high standard of housekeeping, GMP and safe work practices in all production areas.

Assist with investigation of customer and consumer quality complaints to determine root cause and where relevant retraining operators.

Ensuring appropriate control documents are being used e.g. hot work, confined space etc.

Develop and encourage a culture of continuous improvement through operator engagement

Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures

Deliver Toolbox Talks

Writing, revising and training of SOPs, OPLs and other training aids.

Conduct training for all crew members

Conduct performance reviews

Approval of direct report rostered days off and holidays.

Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in related discipline

Previous Supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment

Understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements

A passion for efficiency

Time management skills along with possessing the ability to multitask.

Available to do overtime as required

Excellent communication skills; both written and oral

Be passionate, resourceful and innovative.
