An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Purchasing Supporting Administrator to join a reputable beverage manufacturer located in Tullamarine
This position will be responsible for supporting the State and major projects teams with purchasing, spend reporting and analysing the spend. Providing hands-on support and coordination of Procurement and Purchasing activities.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Obtaining approvals and placing orders on behalf of project manager
- Managing approvals and payment of invoices
- Providing budgets and forecasting reports for active projects
- Reconciling project forecasting tools with monthly forecasting and provide insights to spend variances
- Coordinate all purchasing activities for the National engineering team and provide analysis and reporting for each project spend
- Cost coding and supporting accounts payable
- Goods receipting of invoices
- Processing of invoices
- Creating PO's and purchase requisitions
- Create and maintain price catalogues within SAP
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of requisitions and PO's to Procurement policy, supplier pricing and other commercial terms
- Raise purchase orders with suppliers and expedite orders as required
- Investigate PO and supplier related transactional discrepancies
- Conduct initial sourcing, quotation and negotiation for business requirements
- Track outstanding orders and estimate time of arrival of orders
- Ensure optimal use of SAP functionality to drive efficiencies
- Assist in the evaluation of current suppliers and source new ones as required
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Project Management qualification or demonstrated experience in project administration and management
- 3 years plus in project cost management or procurement administration
- Experience in engineering or manufacturing environment
- SAP and Dynamics experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft applications i.e. MS Office suite and MS excel
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
