About the Position
The College of Education, Psychology and Social Work is seeking an Associate Lecturer (Teaching Specialist, Clinical/Practitioner) to contribute to shaping South Australia's early childhood workforce. In this position, you will prepare and deliver engaging teaching across the University's Early Childhood Education topics, with support and guidance from senior academics.

You will also play a key part in strengthening South Australia's early childhood workforce by developing alternative pathways into teacher education, including apprenticeship models in partnership with TAFESA. This work aims to equip pre-service teachers with the knowledge and skills to support the introduction of three-year-old preschool programs, with a focus on child development and play-based learning approaches.

About You
You are an emerging academic committed to advancing early childhood education through high-quality teaching, scholarship, and professional practice. You bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong foundation in working with children birth-5 or in the early years of school.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant Bachelor and/or Master's degree (or equivalent qualification and experience) in Early Childhood Education.
  • Contemporary professional experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and assessing students in relevant educational settings.
  • Understanding of curriculum design, review, and accreditation processes.
