One of our Federal Government clients is seeking a Senior Java Developer to provide support and maintenance to legacy Java applications. This is a short-term contract. You must be able to work in-office 3 days per week in Sydney and be able to obtain Baseline Clearance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyse, remediate, or risk-accept CVEs in Java applications.
• Perform reachability analysis to assess exploitability of vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with security teams to prioritise vulnerabilities
• Maintain and enhance legacy Java applications with a focus on security and stability.
• Integrate and manage Maven dependencies with a focus on minimizing security risks.
• Document remediation strategies and provide technical guidance to development teams.

Your Skillset:

• Expertise in Java & Maven vulnerabilities and dependency management, reachability analysis and maintenance of legacy applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java 8 programming within an enterprise environment.
• Proven experience in CVE remediation and risk acceptance workflows.
• Familiarity with reachability analysis techniques and tools.
• Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy Java applications.
• Solid understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability management.
