About the role

Thornlands Play and Learn, an established early learning centre in Thornlands, is seeking a experienced and passionate Junior Kindy Lead Educator to join our close-knit team. As a part-time role, you will be responsible for creating engaging educational experiences for children aged 2 years- 3 years in our Junior Kindy program, as well as providing support across different age groups when needed.

What you'll be doing

Plan and implement high-quality, play-based educational programs that meet the individual needs and interests of children

Provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development

Observe and document children's progress, and communicate effectively with families about their child's development

Collaborate with the educational team to ensure consistency in practices and pedagogical approaches

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and centre policies

Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your practice

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Monday to Friday, 6:15am to 6:15pm Availability

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and the team

Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and a commitment to play-based, child-centred learning

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications

Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
