About the Role
SASY is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our inclusive school community. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing nutritious, high-quality meals to students in a supportive and professional environment.
You’ll be responsible for:
Preparing fresh, wholesome meals for students and staff.
Catering for special dietary needs including allergies and intolerances.
Managing kitchen operations including budgeting, ordering, and stock control.
Supporting school events with catering for meetings, parent nights, and PD days.
Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment in line with Australian Food Safety Standards.
This is a term-time only position. Enjoy the majority of school holidays off!

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Passionate about food, nutrition, and sustainability.
Experienced in kitchen management or a Sous Chef role.
Skilled in catering for diverse dietary requirements.
A strong communicator and team player.
Hands-on, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
A strong ability to create and maintain strong rapport with young people.
Skills & Qualifications
Trade qualifications in commercial cookery.
Valid Working with Children Check.
Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).
High standard of personal hygiene and professionalism.
