This is a rare short-term opportunity to step into a standalone Tax Manager role with full ownership of the ANZ tax function in a global food and beverage manufacturer. About the role Reporting to the ANZ CFO, with a dotted line to the Group Head of Tax in Singapore, you will take responsibility for all tax matters across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll be the key contact for compliance and advisory work, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, GST, FBT, BAS and related filings
• Ensuring compliance with Australian, New Zealand, and international tax rules
• Managing transfer pricing requirements including Local File preparation
• Providing proactive tax advice on commercial transactions
• Supporting global reporting including CbC reporting, provisions and disclosures
• Liaising with the ATO, IRD and external advisors
• Driving process improvements and applying sound tax policies

About you

This role is looking for an experienced, proactive tax professional who is comfortable working independently while building strong relationships across the business.

You will ideally bring:

• 5–10 years’ experience in corporate tax (Big 4 first movers encouraged, mid-tier or in-house also considered)
• Strong technical expertise across corporate tax, GST, FBT, and transfer pricing
• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
• A commercial outlook and self-starter approach
• Industry experience in manufacturing, food, or FMCG will be well regarded
