Our team operates in both jurisdictions, and we provide a seamless compliance and advisory service across tax, structuring, and international reporting obligations.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Tax Compliance Manager to oversee the delivery of high quality Australian tax compliance services across a diverse and growing client base. You will oversee a small (and growing) internal team, working closely with our offshore compliance coordinator to ensure the timely and accurate submission of tax returns for over 1,000 clients.

This role is ideal for a tax professional with a minimum of 3 years of Australian tax compliance experience, with at least 1 year of experience managing a tax compliance team.

Knowledge of business tax submissions will be good to have, but is not a deal breaker.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead a team of 3-4 internal tax professionals and coordinate work with offshoring teams.

Review individual tax returns prepared for clients including PAYG employees, retirees, property investors, and small business owners.

Oversee the compliance program for a client portfolio of 1,000+ individuals and entities.

Ensure timely lodgement of returns in accordance with ATO deadlines and compliance standards.

Serve as a key point of contact for client queries, delivering professional and confident communication.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance system, processes, and service delivery.

Mentor and support junior staff as their line manager, to ensure continuous development and adherence to quality standards.

Use Xero and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook) to manage compliance workflows and reporting.

Liaise with the ATO as needed for compliance matters and lodgement issues.

(Desirable, but not a must have) Apply understanding of UK & AUS cross-border tax matters for relevant clients.

Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum 3 years' experience in Australian tax compliance (mandatory)

Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising a team

Strong working knowledge of ATO lodgement processes and key filing dates

Proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & Outlook)

Excellent communication skills and ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders

Highly organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Demonstrated experience with a diverse client base, including individuals and small businesses

Ability to manage both internal and offshore preparation teams

Cross-border tax experience (especially UK) is an advantage.

Reports to Managing Director.

Remuneration:
Competitive salary package based on experience. Please indicate salary expectations upon application.
