Our client is launching a pilot program to support teacher housing management and improve service delivery in regional and remote communities. They are looking for a manager who can lead the design, implementation, and delivery of this critical initiative.

Your new role

As the manager, you will represent the division in health, safety, and risk management processes relating to infrastructure-related health risk.

Additional accountabilities:

• Lead the development, implementation and review of initiatives for the Division to reduce risk to health and safety associated with asbestos and other infrastructure related health risks, including, policy, procedures, plans, training, and information resources.
• Manage project teams in the development of programs, frameworks, policies and procedures for a range of infrastructure-related health and safety, infrastructure and planning related issues.
• Provide specialist knowledge and expertise on all matters related to the management of asbestos and other infrastructure-related health risks, as necessary, including the interpretation and application of applicable legislation, policies, procedures and plans.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong understanding of tenancy legislation, housing policy, and infrastructure safety.
• Experience managing dispersed teams and coordinating across multiple regions.
• Expertise in occupational health and safety, particularly in infrastructure-related risks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
