About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse/Trades Assistant to join our team in

Thornton, NSW. This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse operations with trade

support duties. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a

willingness to learn. You will work with qualified tradespeople, support warehouse

processes, and contribute to the smooth running of our workshop.

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Duties (Primary):

- Receive, unpack, and store incoming materials and stock

- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch

- Maintain inventory accuracy and update records

- Load/unload deliveries and customer orders (manual handling required)

- Deliver customer orders locally using the company delivery truck

- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (if licensed/trained)

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

Trades Assistant Duties (Secondary):

- Assist tradespeople with metal fabrication and mechanical fitting tasks

- Prepare materials, work areas, and tools for fabrication and assembly

- Support the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of robotic welders

- Monitor robotic welding cycles and handle components safely

- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Perform general workshop housekeeping and maintenance duties

Requirements:

- Previous experience in warehouse, trades, or mechanical environments (preferred but not

essential)

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

- Current driver's licence (MR licence highly regarded)

- Must hold a minimum of a car licence (C class)

- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)

- Good communication and time management skills

- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

- Must have the legal right to work in Australia. Proof may be requested during the hiring

process
