We are currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team at Wallsend

The Role

You will play a crucial role in providing support to the warehouse operations and maintaining our store's presentation with the potential to be required at the Heatherbrae location

Hourly rate: $32 - $34 an hour SNR casual rate

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (training provided if required).

Load and unload deliveries for customers efficiently and safely.

Load and unload our Trucks for deliveries

Receive stock and manage inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.

Pick and pack customers' orders with attention to detail.

Deliver exceptional customer service in-store and over the phone.

Assist customers with product selection, order processing, and general inquiries.

Support monthly stocktakes and inventory audits.

Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe and productive warehouse environment.

What we are looking for:

Previous experience in retail or sales, ideally in building supplies or home improvement.

Previous experience in a dispatch logistics (highly desirable)

Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.

Forklift licence preferred (training available)

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Physically fit and comfortable handling heavy materials.

Detail-oriented with a tidy organised approach.

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Basic computer skills for inventory and sales systems.
