Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Warehouse Assistant to join our logistics and operations team on a part-time casual basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time role (casual or permanent contract) over time. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow with the company long-term, supporting the daily operations of a warehouse that is expanding and evolving rapidly.Key Responsibilities

Order Management:

Process incoming customer orders from the e-commerce platform (Shopify).

Ensure accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment.

Warehouse Management System (WHS):

Operate and update Fishbowl software for order processing, stock allocation, and tracking.

Maintain accurate records of all warehouse transactions.

Logistics Support:

Assist with the coordination and execution of daily logistics tasks.

Support the dispatch of orders through carriers (e.g., Australia Post, Big Post).

Receive and manage large shipments, ensuring correct documentation and safe unloading.

Inventory Control:

Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock counts to maintain accuracy.

Support stock replenishment and location transfers as required.

Identify and resolve stock shortages proactively.

Warehouse Operations & Development:

Contribute to the creation and refinement of warehouse processes and procedures, supporting the warehouse’s continuous growth.

Assist with prioritisation of orders based on customer classification (e.g., distributors, partners, or retail clients).

Troubleshoot and resolve daily operational issues with a proactive mindset.

Maintain daily organisation and cleanliness of the warehouse, ensuring safe and efficient workflows.

Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards.

Customer Service:

Respond to customer enquiries, complaints, and order issues via email and phone in a professional and timely manner.

Maintain positive communication with distributors, salon partners, and clients regarding order status, stock availability, and delivery timelines.

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or stock control preferred.

Experience with Shopify and/or other e-commerce platforms is advantageous.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems, preferably Fishbowl.

Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-growing environment.

Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email management).

Forklift licence is a strong plus.
