Job Summary:
We are looking for an Accounts and Admin Officer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions and providing essential administrative support. Working with MYOB AccountRight and Monday.com, you will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and day-to-day office administration.
This role is well-suited to an entry-level accounts officer eager to gain hands-on experience, develop new skills, and receive training. Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
• Set up supplier accounts, process purchase orders and invoices, and maintain accurate account details.
• Process weekly AP runs and staff expense claim payments.
• Contribute to monthly AP reconciliations.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations.
• Record credit card transactions.
• Ensure correct coding for all transactions.
Accounts Receivable
• Assist with invoicing via Monday.com, ensuring compliance with ATO and client requirements.
• Assist with monthly AR reconciliations by reviewing and resolving discrepancies between MYOB and Monday.com.
• Support debtor management by helping to follow up on outstanding payments in a professional and timely manner.
Reconciliations
• Perform monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations.
• Collating information required for balance sheet reconciliations
Administration
• Manage the finance team’s shared email inbox and related workflows.
• Answer and direct phone calls and emails.
• Provide light reception duties and oversee kitchen/stationery supply management.
• Coordinate staff travel bookings (flights, accommodation, vehicles).
• Book freight, manage couriers, and oversee motor vehicle servicing, repairs, insurance claims etc.
• Maintain uniform stock and issue items as required.
• Manage key register and other office logistics.
• Action emails and tasks promptly.
• Carry out ad hoc finance and administration duties as needed.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
• Certificate IV / Diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Some experience in accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Knowledge of MYOB AccountRight.
• Familiarity with Monday.com (preferred, not essential).
• Excellent attention to detail, strong time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
