Salary $56,227 per annum + superannuation.

Annual salary increase every year based on CPI.

Salary packaging (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).

5 weeks annual leave per year + additional leave to over the Christmas shut down period + 17.5% leave loading.

10 days Noongar Cultural Leave per annum.

5 days compassionate leave per occasion.

7 weeks LSL vested after 7 years of service.

The role

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Project Officer. This is an opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience across our organisation taking responsibility for organising and delivering distinct initiatives in a timely manner.

We offer a full-time position that will make you an integral part of our team. This is an opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and professional growth in key areas of land management (ranger programs) heritage and cultural programs.

Location

The position is based in Albany, with regular travel across the Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar region

Hours

Full time (37.5 hours per week).

About us

The Wagyl Kaip and Southern Noongar people are the Traditional Owners of the Great Southern Region, Western Australia. WKSN AC was formed as a result of the Southwest Native Title Settlement. WKSN AC has been established to assist Wagyl Kaip & Southern Noongar people to maintain, protect, promote and support their culture and manage the land and waters within their country. Key responsibilities:

Assist staff in planning executing and monitoring projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

Handle various administration tasks such as scheduling meetings, on country visits, maintain project documentation, and communicating with stakeholders, clients, and team members.

Work closely with team members, providing support and guidance.

Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management.

Handle incoming communications, ensuring appropriate responses.

Help maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-organised workenvironment.

Provide general support to various departments as needed.

Selection Criteria:

Essentials

A strong desire to learn and develop skills in various areas.

Strong organisation abilities to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to, engage effectively with the WKSN Noongar community.

Current driver’s licence and ability to obtain a Working With Children Card.

Desirable

The Corporation has a preference to employ Noongar persons, in particular persons with Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar connections
