Tutt Bryant Group Limited is a multi-Divisional organisation operating in Equipment Distribution, General Equipment Hire, Crane Hire and Specialist Lift. This group level role will focus on providing solutions to meet the growing development requirements of the business.
The Role
The Senior BI Analyst Developer role will work in the IS Team and with the Project team to understand the business model and processes, and design and build Data Warehouse and BI reporting solutions. The role is required to support development efforts throughout the entire Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC). This is a user-facing role, requiring the successful candidate to build strong relationships with the business Subject Matter Experts and the Project Team.
This role is responsible for Data Warehouse and Reporting solutions for Tutt Bryant Information Systems, including but not be limited to:
Analysis, design, development, and ongoing support of software solutions with a focus on Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Business Intelligence and Data Visualisation.
Developing BI Solutions and Report Writing including ETL functions.
Data modelling using Star and Snowflake schemas.
Design and development of solutions using the Microsoft Power platform (including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages) and SSRS report development.
Design, create, and implement database systems with the focus on Data Warehouse architecture, based on the end user's requirements, ensuring their stability, reliability, performance, data quality and integrity.
Transforming data into insights that drive business decisions through collecting, analysing, and visualising data to help stakeholders understand trends, patterns, and business performance.
Perform in-depth analysis and present insights to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner. Define key metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
Writing and implementing efficient code, including testing, and evaluating new programs.
Develop security and access procedures for reports.
Develop and adhere to best practices for Data Warehouse database design and development activities. Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and reporting efficiency.
Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development and support ad hoc data requests.
Prepare documentations for software applications.
Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ Power Platform solutions experience.
Minimum 5 years’ Power BI solutions experience.
Minimum 5 years’ Database design skills and Data Warehouse architecture design.
Minimum 5 years’ data modelling, ETL processes (Azure Data Factory), and reporting.
Minimum 8 years’ experience working with SQL and T-SQL.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work as part of a team and with stakeholders to gather and interpret business requirements.
DevOps experience desirable.
Experience with Azure SQL Server.
Knowledge of ERP Systems (Dynamics D365 FinOps and AX) is highly desirable.
Experience in data migration skills is desirable.
Certification PL-900 Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals is desirable.
Exposure to SharePoint 2010 - 2016 and SharePoint Online is desirable.
