Junior Accountant - Public Practice
Salary: $70k-$80k + super
Hours: Full-time, permanent

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with a team of experienced professionals across a diverse client base. This role is ideal for someone with 6 months to 2 years' experience in public practice who is either currently studying or planning to commence their CA or CPA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Bookkeeping and preparation of accounts

Preparation and lodgment of BAS/IAS statements

Preparation of individual income tax returns

Exposure to and assistance with capital gains tax calculations

Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports

Liaise with clients to collect necessary documentation and provide updates

Work collaboratively with senior accountants and managers on client engagements

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

6 months to 2 years' experience in a public practice accounting firm

Degree in accounting

Currently studying or planning to commence CA or CPA

Solid understanding of bookkeeping, BAS, and individual tax returns

Exposure to capital gains tax is highly regarded

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Eager to learn, proactive, and enjoys working in a team
