Join the University of Queensland Union College as a Facilities and Maintenance Officer! We are seeking a dedicated individual to maintain our beautiful campus grounds and facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:

Carry out building maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, and general upkeep.

Perform regular maintenance of gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas.

Undertake landscaping works.

Assist in event logistics.

Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the campus.

Demonstrate a commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Possession of a relevant trade qualification (carpentry or similar).

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Proven experience in building maintenance.

Proven experience in garden maintenance and landscaping.

Attention to detail, organised and have demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Strong understanding of WHS principles and practices.

Possession of a Construction Safety Induction Certificate (White Card).

Possession of a Blue Card (Working with Children).

Basic computer literacy.
